Cause Analysis and Solution of Bending in Stone Sawing

Diamond disc saw is mostly used for cutting granite materials. It has simple structure and strong sawing maneuverability. It can cut waste materials at will according to the technology. However, in the use process, sawing plate bending has always been the most headache for enterprises, but also the most difficult problem to solve.
The first manifestation of stone sawing bending is that the flatness of the plate is extremely poor in the length direction of sawing, which is called left-right bending. The second manifestation of stone sawing bending is that the flatness is extremely poor in the direction of sawing depth, which is called up-down bending. At present, the experience of some stone factories is worth learning and learning: when plate bending occurs, the cutting amount should be reduced appropriately, and the horizontal cutting speed should be increased; when left and right bending occurs, the cutting amount should be increased appropriately, and the horizontal cutting speed should be reduced. The effect is obvious. Therefore, in the daily production management, we should strictly implement the mature cutting technology. When the phenomenon of bending occurs, we should first conduct a thorough and detailed investigation and analysis of the cutting process and execution, and put forward the rectification suggestions and preventive measures, which can achieve twice the result with half the effort.

It is generally believed that the main causes of stone cutting bending are the use of saw blades (finished products) and the quality of circular saw machine, the development and implementation of sawing technology in the process of customer processing and so on. In addition, it has something to do with the running quality of the sawing machine, the installation and maintenance of the sawing machine and the cooling and lubrication of the cutting process.
1. Saw blade matrix: In general, the new saw blade matrix is controlled by tension value and flatness and end runout before leaving the factory. However, there are often deviations in the use of some substrates in stone factories, resulting in a decline in the qualified rate of plate cutting. The main manifestation is that the processing technology used by stone processing plants also does not match the matrix tension value. When the positive value of tension is too large, it is easy to cause up and down bending phenomenon. Some of the matrix has reached the service life limit after repeated welding, and this phenomenon will also occur. Therefore, when choosing the matrix, stone processing plants should not be covetous of cheapness and choose unqualified matrix, but should choose the matrix with good quality produced by regular enterprises. At the same time, attention should be paid to the use period of the overlay saw blade in order to reduce unnecessary losses.
2. Cutter head: The cutting bending of sheet metal is mainly due to the non-sharp cutter head, forcible overload cutting or cutting, resulting in excessive cutting current and bending of sheet metal. Therefore, before cutting, stone processing factories should adopt cutting edge measures for new tool heads, and mechanical cutting edges can be used when conditions permit, in order to reduce the overshoot of radius jump and end jump. But in our country, most stone processing factories are in poor condition, so they can not use mechanical cutting edge, but random cutting edge. In the process of random cutting, the strict cutting process should be formulated and implemented according to 1/3 or 1/4 of the normal cutting speed or cutting speed, and the radial runout error of the tool head can be reduced by fully grinding the tool. Otherwise, in the process of overload cutting or cutting, the blade matrix can not bear huge load, which will lead to the deterioration of flatness, tension value and end-face jump, resulting in the later cutting bending, and the matrix can not be solved.
3. Matrix and tool head welding: Normal tool head welding (re-welding) manufacturers generally use high-precision automatic welding machine, with high-precision die, strict and meticulous welding process and quality inspection standards, so as to effectively control flatness, end surface runout and radial runout of tool head heating to saw blade matrix during welding. And the influence of tension value can effectively avoid reducing the chance of plate bending in the cutting process of saw blade. At the same time, the mix ratio of the cutter head and the matrix (the ratio of the thickness of the cutter head to the thickness of the matrix) is also an important factor that can not be ignored. It is easy to bend when the cutting depth exceeds 1/2 of the radius (generally the manufacturer thinks that the cutting effect is better when the value is 1.25-1.35). Therefore, when the stone processing enterprises are engaged in tool head welding (re-welding), they should select a regular tool head welding plant with better conditions to ensure the quality and cutting efficiency of finished saw blades, and reduce losses and waste.
4. Operation quality of sawing machine: According to our experience of following up after-sales service of customers and dealing with problems for many years, the transverse (horizontal) running guide rail of sawing machine wears out for a period of time, and its accuracy decreases, which can not meet the prescribed quality control standards. When the sawing machine crawls, the plate is prone to bending left and right. When the accuracy of longitudinal (vertical) elevation track is not up to the stipulated quality control standard after wear and tear, the plate is prone to bend up and down. At the same time, when the insert clearance of the guide rail of the saw is not adjusted properly or when foreign bodies enter the guide rail, the phenomenon of bending plate is easy to occur. In addition, the poor running system of sawing machine spindle is also an important factor leading to plate bending. Therefore, it is very important to adjust the accuracy of sawing machine spindle drive shaft and the reasonable clearance of spindle bearing. Otherwise, irregular plate bending will occur.
5. Installation and maintenance reasons of sawing machine in use process: In addition to normal maintenance and timely removal of foreign bodies on guide rails, when replacing saw blades, the precision of saw blade flange is particularly strict. Before replacing, flatness of flange, end runout and deburring of credit must be strictly checked. And foreign bodies. If the overshoot fails to meet the quality control requirements, it must be repaired or replaced. At the same time, the tramcar runs smoothly and can be safely installed on the tramcar. It is also very important to check the tramway regularly during the production process, and to ensure the straightness of the tramway and the absence of foreign bodies.
