On March 3, Macheng stone railway special line, the first stone railway special line in China, was officially started.
Liu Xuerong, Secretary of Huanggang municipal Party committee, announced the commencement of the project by video. Yang Yao, vice chairman of Huanggang CPPCC and Secretary of Macheng municipal Party committee, Cai Xuan, mayor of Macheng, and other leaders, as well as relevant leaders of Hubei Provincial Department of transportation, China Railway Wuhan bureau group and the fourth company, attended the commencement ceremony.
Macheng stone railway special line is the first stone railway special line under construction in China. The line starts from zhoutiegang station of Beijing Kowloon Railway, crosses Baiguo River and S206 provincial road, and enters zhujiayuan mining area. There are three stations in the whole line, namely zhoutiegang station, Xinjian shiziyuan station and zhujiayuan station. In addition, there is a shiziyuan freight yard at shiziyuan station.
The total length of the line of the project is 11.38 km. There are 2 new single track super large bridges with a total length of 2464 m and 2 medium bridges. The length of the subgrade section is 9.26 km, and the bridge tunnel ratio is 22.25%. The length of the Baiguo River Super Large Bridge, which started first, is 1381.18 m. It is a key and difficult control project of the whole line. The total planned land area of the whole line is 82.41 hectares, the construction period is 18 months, and the designed freight volume will reach 4.04 million tons in 2025.
