Marble sealing method
In the process of installation, we should not only ensure that the natural texture of stone surface is not polluted, but also have certain waterproof measures. At present, there are three ways to install and seal stone materials:
1. Air convection is formed on the back of the stone without encrypting sealant in the empty seam, and water vapor is discharged outdoors to prevent the formation of temperature difference on the surface of the stone, so that the inner surface of the stone will not be flooded with condensed water.
2. Half-seam sealing is to keep the external facade seamless. The external facade has a good three-dimensional sense. In fact, the rubber layer is hidden inside the node. To ensure that the thickness of sealant should be about 6 mm, but not more than the width, the width should be determined according to the quality of the sealant.
3. Seal with neutral silicone glue, which is a special glue for stone materials. It seals all the seams of the external facade. Rainwater from the external facade can not enter the back of the stone, which makes the stone dense in a dry state and ensures that the bending strength and shear strength of the stone remain unchanged.

In addition, when sealing stone, we should pay attention to the need for “breathability” of stone. Stone is made up of various crystals, and crystals are made up of various minerals. The crystal structure formed by these minerals determines the types of stones. Crystal integrity has a lot to do with the millions of bacteria in it, and the water in the stone needs to evaporate through the gap to the outside.
First, we should ensure the survival and reproduction of these bacteria. After a long period of research, it has been found that bacteria seem to play an important role in preserving stone integrity.
Secondly, it should be noted that when sealing stone, the sealant is filled in the pore or crystal gap of the rock, and will not flow out of the stone. The purpose of sealing is to prevent liquid penetration and dyeing.
Also, avoid using acrylic sealants or impregnating agents, because they can block the pore and kill bacteria, completely block the flow of water in the stone, if the inside of the stone becomes damp, it will lead to cracking of the stone. If the sealant is used too much and not cleaned properly to keep it moist all the time, the stone covered by the sealant will fade dimly.
