In order to fully understand the characteristics, development and utilization status of veneer stone resources and effectively improve the theoretical research and prospecting technology level of veneer stone, on January 18, the Geological Exploration Center (China non mining) held a video exchange meeting on veneer stone prospecting technology. Chen Zhengguo, chief engineer of the center, attended the meeting and made a summary speech. The meeting was presided over by Chen Junyuan, Minister of science and technology management department.
At the meeting, the scientific and technological personnel of five units, including Anhui corps, Shandong corps, Hubei corps, Xinjiang corps and Geological Exploration Institute, made a comprehensive technical exchange on the latest research achievements such as the characteristics of China’s decorative stone resources, metallogenic law, development and utilization, exploration technical methods and the characteristics of foreign decorative stone resources.

Chen Zhengguo fully affirmed the achievements of various units in the theoretical research and exploration technology of facing stones, summarized the achievements of scientific and technological innovation and geological exploration in 2021 from three aspects: further improvement of scientific and technological innovation ability, further consolidation of resource geological exploration and new progress in geological prospecting, and focused on the implementation of the spirit of the working conference of the Geological Exploration Center, The deployment of scientific and technological innovation and geological exploration services in 2022 puts forward three clear requirements:
First, do a good job in scientific and technological innovation and serve the transformation and development. We should increase investment in R & D and form high-level achievements. We should speed up the construction of scientific and technological innovation platforms and enhance our core competitiveness. We should strengthen industry university research coordination and promote the effective transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
Second, do a good job in geological exploration and serve resource guarantee. We should actively apply for financial projects to ensure the safety of resources. We should provide good services to the group and the Geological Exploration Center to ensure the demand for resources. We should expand the service objects and increase the revenue of geological exploration business.
Third, do a good job in the special work of geological prospecting and serve the main business support. We should strengthen comprehensive research and do a good job in project selection. We should strengthen the guidance of funds and improve the level of project management. We should strengthen the summary of achievements and ensure the transformation of prospecting achievements. More than 240 people, including relevant personnel from the science and Technology Management Department of the Geological Exploration Center (China non mining), relevant leaders and relevant technicians of 25 geological exploration units, attended the meeting.
