Daily cleaning and maintenance methods for marble

The marble on the lobby floor is not resistant to acid and strong alkali, and cannot withstand excessive friction. Therefore, in daily use, do not let acid and alkali containing substances such as juice, alkaline water, toilet soap, and oil fume cleaner come into contact with marble. Next, let’s introduce the cleaning and maintenance methods of marble!

     01
Daily cleaning methods for marble

1. Use a dust pusher and electrostatic cleaner (dust pusher oil) to push dust back and forth on the marble surface every day, and determine the number of times to push dust back and forth based on the density of human traffic.
2. Oil stains and glue stains: such as fat oil, mineral oil and resin glue, wipe with towel together with Dishwashing liquid and dust pushing oil, then use clean towel to clean water, and finally use clean towel to absorb water until clean.
3. If fruit stains are accidentally dropped, it is necessary to immediately wipe them with a towel together with soap or Dishwashing liquid, and then use a clean towel to clean the water. Finally, the towel absorbs water until it is clean.
4. If there are yellow rust spots or yellow spots, use professional stone rust remover to cover and soak.

Marble care and maintenance methods

1. Crystal hardening treatment, also known as crystal surface treatment. It is to use a marble crystal surface care machine with crystal surface agent (or crystal hard powder) for regular crystal surface care.
2. Waterproof and oil resistant treatment. Namely, oil-based (with the best oiliness) permeable or water-based permeable waterproof and oil repellent agents are used to coat the surface of the stone.

Precautions for marble cleaning and maintenance

1. Marble is not resistant to acid and alkali, and liquids with slight acidity and alkalinity such as fruit juice, coffee, tea, and cola can corrode the stone surface. Therefore, once dripping is found, it should be wiped clean as soon as possible and washed with clean water. Neutral detergent (such as Dishwashing liquid and hand sanitizer) must be used for daily cleaning.
2. Marble stones are relatively soft, have low hardness, and are not wear-resistant. Sand particles and metal hard objects can scratch the stone surface. Therefore, vacuum rubber floor mats should be placed at the entrance, and tables, chairs, and benches should not be moved or dragged on the ground. During cleaning and maintenance, the sand particles and hard objects on the stone surface should be promptly cleaned and removed.
3. Due to the material of marble, if the accumulated water stays on the stone surface for a long time, the stone will absorb some water. If it cannot be dried thoroughly in time, the stone will appear alkali efflorescence, mildew, etc. Once it stays for a long time, it will be difficult to control, especially for light colored marble. When cleaning and maintaining, the water consumption should be reduced as much as possible, and the water and neutral detergent (such as Dishwashing liquid) should be absorbed in time, while keeping the stone dry and cool.
